Hey there! So this is my blog, not in the expectation of being read but just as a space to write in, my echo chamber. You can be my imaginary audience, go you!
So, I’m a trans woman, an architect and virtual world environment designer, feminist, lesbian, romantic, slightly geeky and a list maker. I love learning, I aspire to have a sense of wonder about the universe and life. Reading is an important part of my being, whether fiction or non fiction I can devour a book, although I have a particular love of fantasy and science fiction – as well as trashy detective novels. Oh and I’m moderately… ok pretty geeky when it comes to computers and the internet.
I’m also a British expat living on the continent, I love how learning other languages makes me appreciate and understand my own more deeply.
I lack the motivation to write what being a trans woman means right now and anyway, others have already done so way better than I could. Currently my favorite basic guides to what is what and what cis means (people who are not trans) can be found under the heading of Trans 101, bottom right of the blog Questioning Transphobia and this and this post-and-comments on Feministe. So read that and save me some basic explaining. I don’t totally agree with absolutely everything in there but it’s a damn good place to start.
I also like purple quite alot. Cats too but I’m allergic to them unfortunately. Luckily purple does not make me sneeze. I live in Belgium but am from the UK and I am delirously happily married to a very wonderful woman <3
